Biography

Tracy L. Brady  is a Full Teaching Professor in the History Department and has taught full-time at CSU for over 20 years. She specializes in courses covering the American West,  20th Century United States, and the cultural history of American television and film. She earned her PhD at University of Colorado-Boulder . Tracy is passionate about finding ways to teach students that history is not simply memorizing facts and dates, but that the past is vital to their understanding of their own worlds.

Tracy has won several teaching awards including the Ann Gill Excellence in Teaching Award in 2015. She is interested in creating opportunities for collaboration between CSU's history department and public schools throughout the region. Tracy also cares deeply about issues facing NTTF faculty, including shared governance, job security, and academic freedom.
