Biography

Annie is a Graduate Teaching Assistant and second-year MA student in the History Department. Her research interests include Public History, 19th Century Colorado and New Mexico, Women in the American West, Environmental History, Public Lands, and Local History. She is currently exploring how historians may use fictional mediums to engage public audiences with the past.

Annie previously worked as an NPS park ranger and historical interpreter at living history museums like Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. After completing her MA, Annie plans to return to NPS/public lands work or living history museums and eventually pursue an MFA in Creative Writing (fiction).

Annie most recently worked with CSU's Public and Environmental History Center creating a historic context of Highline Lake State Park for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
