Biography

Amy is a graduate teaching assistant while also pursuing her M.A. in early U.S. history under Dr. Little's guidance. Her research focus is on early U.S. military and their families' social structures during times of conflict.

Amy is the first woman in her family to graduate high school and later earn a college degree. During her 25+ years of marriage to an Army soldier, she worked as a medical assistant across the country while also raising their 3 children. History has always been a passion, therefore when she had the opportunity, she decided to change career paths. She obtained her second college degree in December of 2024 in history with a minor in anthropology from the University of Texas at Tyler.

During downtime Amy enjoys reading many genres of books and anything outside. She has a zoo that consists of 2 American bulldogs (big babies) and 2 cats along with her 3 kiddos and husband.
