Biography

Samantha is a graduate student from Downers Grove, IL. She focuses her research on public and environmental history regarding public lands and wildfires under the guidance of Dr. Michael Childers and Dr. Jared Orsi. She graduated from CSU in 2020 with a B.A. in Sociology with minors in Environmental Studies and History. She has interned at the Public and Environmental History Center under the supervision of Dr. Jared Orsi where she worked on research projects for Death Valley National Park and the CSU Mountain Campus. She also worked as a research assistant for Dr. Sarah Payne where she helped on a project regarding the history of the Poudre River Trail.
