Associate Professor of History and Director of Social Studies Teaching Jessica Jackson was selected as a recipient of the Faculty Excellence Teaching Scholar Award for 2025.

The award honors early-career faculty to recognize their dedication to student success and achievement through innovative teaching practices, course design, and curriculum design.
Those innovations in teaching include her leadership and partnership with the Poudre School District to bring the collaborative project, History Matters, as part of her work as a 2024-2025 Joe Blake Center for Engaged Humanities Faculty Fellow.
Jackson received her award in a recognition ceremony on April 22 from Vice Provost Marion Underwood.
